Barbara Megge has been a teacher for twenty- four years in the community of Highland Park, teaching second and third grade. She has received her Bachelors and Masters Degree from Wayne State University with certification in Elementary Education Mathematics and Group Social Studies and Special Education Learning Disability. Barbara is passionate for learning with her students and has found that it helps them become engaged and excited participants in their own learning. She is determined to help students recognize their full potential and allows them to become engaged in the learning process. Her goal in teaching is that students will be life long learners who will challenge themselves and become self-directed in their learning. In her free time she enjoys gardening, reading, knitting, baseball, volleyball, antiquing, refinishing furniture, yoga, and spending time with her husband George, her mother Mary Lou, her sister Judi, her three step-children Stew, Liz, and Nick and daughter-in-law Maria, and friends.
